Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of experience in insurance coverage at a nationally-recognized law firm. The ideal candidate should have both insurance coverage knowledge and practical litigation experience, including experience with depositions and hearings. Candidates must be members in good standing of the California Bar.

Responsibilities: Provide a variety of administrative, paralegal, and legal secretarial support services to justices and staff. Minimum qualifications: Equivalent to graduation from high school and 2 years of secretarial experience or legal processing experience. Directly related college-level course work may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Candidates should possess superior knowledge of proper English grammar and spelling. Knowledge of court procedures and legal cite checking are desirable.

Assistant Deputy Clerk I, II, III, or Deputy Clerk

Responsibilities: Handle a variety of clerical, procedural, and legal process support activities in the Clerk's Office. Minimum qualifications: Equivalent to graduation from high school and 2 years of legal clerical processing experience. Directly related college-level course work may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Candidates should possess knowledge of policies, procedures, and jurisdictional requirements associated with the trial courts and with appeals and original proceedings before an appellate court.
