Chief Counsel

The 2020 California Citizens Redistricting Commission , is seeking a Chief Counsel with min. 10 yrs. law experience. The Chief Counsel will advise the Commission on all aspects of the redistricting process and government affairs. The ideal candidate will have served as the principal legal advisor to a governing board, as well as government relations, redistricting and voting rights experience, and has a history of working closely with community organizations developing and maintaining relationships with diverse groups and coalitions. The Commission is charged with drawing the State's legislative, Congressional, and Board of Equalization electoral lines.
