Orrick to settle data breach lawsuits for $8M

The settlement arises from a consolidated action where three separate lawsuits accused the law firm of failing to protect the victims' personal information.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP agreed to an $8 million settlement in three putative class actions by plaintiffs who claimed hackers breached the firm's client data base in March 2023, compromising the proprietary information of more than 461,000 people.
