Lawsuits over Redondo Beach development stayed pending appeal

Developer Leonid Pustilnikov sought a stay in his lawsuit seeking to compel Redondo Beach to approve his power plant residential conversion pending appeal of Judge James C. Chalfant’s February decision that approval of a neighboring development would violate the Coastal Act.

Two lawsuits in Los Angeles County Superior Court seeking to force Redondo Beach to approve a mixed-use waterfront development were stayed Monday pending the outcome of an appeal challenging a ruling that denied a similar project across the street.
