Mistakes Sink Drug Boat Case

SAN FRANCISCO - Two big mistakes sunk the U.S. government's convictions of 10 Colombians in a two-ton cocaine bust at sea: the prosecutor's failure to prove a San Diego court had jurisdiction over the matter - and his statement to jurors that they should deliberate with a presumption of guilt, a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled.
