Sonoma Finds Balance for Species Protection and Development

Robin - Sonoma County vineyards and vintners can breathe a sigh of relief over the decision by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to refrain from designating as much as 74,000 acres in the county as critical habitat for the endangered California tiger salamander. Instead, the service announced last month that it will adopt a "consensus-driven solution" known as the Santa Rosa Plain Conservation Strategy.
