Humanists Are Moral Creatures

Can one be moral without a belief in God? Secular humanists affirm that we can; religious conservatives deny it. Without belief in God, conservatives assert, immorality would engulf us. What they overlook is the fact that the ethics of humanism are so deeply ingrained in human culture that both religious and nonreligious folks often share humanism's values and virtues.
