Time to Ponder Religious Freedom
Last month in the case of Brown v. Gilmore , the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Virginia's moment-of-silence statute, a ruling that now requires children in public schools in Virginia to begin each day with a moment of silence. While ostensibly drafted for a secular purpose, this statute is an ill-disguised effort to renew the effort to force prayer in our public schools.
