Justices Asked Whether MICRA Limits Apply to Nursing Home Care

SAN FRANCISCO - The California Supreme Court suggested Tuesday that it will allow abused elders to recover damages for pain and suffering as well as attorney fees under a 1991 state law designed to protect senior citizens from mistreatment at nursing homes and other health-care facilities.
