Gurtin Fixed Income Management names Michael Johnson co-CEO

Johnson started a research group in the company eight years ago, and he has lead nearly every department in it since then. He has more than two decades of financial services experience with a focus on municipal bonds and risk management.

Gurtin Fixed Income Management LLC promoted Michael E. Johnson to co-chief executive officer, the company announced July 28.

He will be responsible for the firm's day-to-day management and all risk management in his new role.

Johnson will share the position with the company's founder, Bill Gurtin, who will continue on as chief executive officer and chief investment officer.
