More cities ban plastic bags

Laguna Beach and Dana Point city councils voted this week to ban single-use plastic bags, joining roughly 20 other California cities that have already adopted such bans.

Laguna Beach and Dana Point city councils voted this week to ban single-use plastic bags, joining roughly 20 other California cities that have already passed such bans. Dana Point also voted to ban polystyrene, or plastic foam containers. The measures will take effect next year. San Francisco officials also voted to expand that city's ban on plastic bags.
