Prosecutors May Get New Duty

The State Bar's Board of Governors is slated to vote on several contentious new and amended Rules of Professional Conduct when it meets in Los Angeles on Saturday.

SAN FRANCISCO - California prosecutors may soon have new responsibilities to report evidence that could help prove a defendant's innocence - even in closed cases that are out of their jurisdiction.
