A busload of Central Valley farm workers rose before dawn Tuesday so they could hear lawyers argue their 10-year-old claim for unpaid wages at the California Supreme Court.

SAN FRANCISCO - A busload of Central Valley farmworkers rose before dawn Tuesday so they could hear lawyers argue their 10-year-old claim for unpaid wages at the California Supreme Court.

While some justices seemed sympathetic to the workers' plight - a strawberry grower went belly-up without paying them - it was unclear whether the law would be able to help.
