Judge Retires After Two Decades Of Service in Los Angeles Courts
After 20 years on the bench, Judge Alban Niles will retire Oct. 4. Niles, 69, has been sitting as a Superior Court judge since 1996, when he was assigned to the courts by the chief justice of California. He was re-elected in 1999.




He started his career as a judge in 1982, when Gov. Jerry Brown named him as a Municipal Court judge. Niles was elected unopposed...
