Dicta Column - By Beth E. Kellermann - A firm's managing partner stared at the spreadsheet in disbelief. He always had feared that one day, one of the firm's biggest clients would call unexpectedly and say, "Thank you for your 20 years of service, but we've decided to consolidate all of our legal work into one firm, and you are not it." And although he did not receive this call, the trend line on the report was clear - work from one of the firm's top three clients was slowly slipping away.
