Court gives boost to drugmakers

In a huge boost for drugmakers facing wage-and-hour lawsuits, a divided U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that pharmaceutical sales representatives are not entitled to overtime pay under federal law.

WASHINGTON - In a huge boost for drugmakers facing wage-and-hour lawsuits, a divided U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that pharmaceutical sales representatives aren't entitled to overtime pay under federal law.


The decision kills a class action against GlaxoSmithKline PLC seeking back pay and damages. And it could also spell the end for analogous lawsuits brought under California labor...
