Environmental lawyer tapped for state water board

Felicia Marcus who starts her four-year term on the State Water Resources Control Board at the end of the month, has worn several hats over the years.

When Felicia Marcus started out as an environmental litigator, she sued the City of Los Angeles over sewage flowing into the Santa Monica Bay. Several years later, her career took an unexpected turn. Mayor Tom Bradley's staff saw her interactions with the city workers in helping implement a settlement and tapped her for a spot on the very agency she was dogging - the city's Board of Public Works.
