Judge upholds Java patent verdict

A federal judge on Wednesday rejected Oracle's bid to overturn a verdict that Google Inc. did not infringe two patents related to the Java programming language.

In another setback for Oracle Corp., U.S. District Judge William Alsup on Wednesday rejected the Redwood Shores-based company's bid to overturn a jury's verdict that Google Inc. did not infringe two patents related to the Java programming language.
