Law schools are branching out

Darrell J. Greenwald thought he'd join a large or midsize firm after law school. Classmate Lauren M. Mayfield had her sights set on the district attorney's office.


But by the time the Chapman University School of Law students graduated in 2010, the job market was bleak. So the two took a hard look at their options and decided to open a practice together.
