24 years later, unpublished opinions remain vexing

Justice Arthur Gilbert's enjoyable article, "What's in a Number," published May 7, raised an issue I would like to see him write about in the future: Why the Courts of Appeal issue so many unpublished decisions?


Apparently, the first column Justice Gilbert wrote 24 years ago concerned the depublication of opinions, which rarely happens now.
