Weighing Caps for Train Wreck Suits

U.S. lawmakers are in early talks to potentially lift the $200 million federal damages cap for train crashes, in response to last year's Metrolink crash in Chatsworth that killed 26 and injured 135.

U.S. lawmakers are in early talks to potentially lift the $200 million federal damages cap for train crashes, in response to last year's Metrolink crash in Chatsworth.

The crash killed 26 and injured 135, and lawyers for the victims and their families say the cap could leave them far short of the compensatory damages they say they should receive - up to $500 million.
