A.G. Sues Over Business Scams

Eight individuals and a half-dozen businesses are accused of operating scams targeting small business owners.

SAN DIEGO - Eight individuals and a half-dozen businesses were sued Thursday in San Diego Superior Court by Attorney General Jerry Brown for allegedly operating scams targeting small business owners. The lawsuits seek to recover more than $3 million.

According to Brown, the separate scams had a common theme: tricking small business owners into paying fees for no legitimate reason.
