U.S. Judges Keep Public Pay After Leaving For Private Practice

As the federal judiciary continues to complain about low pay, six of the 11 federal judges who stepped down from the bench in the last year are keeping their full judicial salaries while taking lucrative jobs in the private sector, according to figures from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
