Federalist Society hosts presentation on banking regulation

Bryan Cave LLP partner Daniel Wheeler, left, and Federalist Society representative David A. DeGroot, a San Francisco-based special counsel at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, held a presentation late last month examining instances of possible overreach by banking and financial regulators. The presentation, titled, "Regulating Outside the Law: A Troubling Trend in Banking," was held at Bryan Cave's San Francisco office and featured Wheeler speaking and fielding questions about regulatory measures that appear to exceed statutory limits.
