Pro-lifers chalk up a win on free speech grounds

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel decreed that both pro-life sidewalk counselors seeking to dissuade women from having abortions and escorts trying to shield women approaching a clinic must be afforded the same free speech rights.

Pro-life protesters won a significant skirmish in the abortion debate before a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Thursday.
