Ex Ohio AG tapped for Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama announced Monday the nomination of former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray to head up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The bureau's mission is to enforce regulations against fraud and deception in consumer financial products like mortgages and credit cards. Congress created the bureau as part of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act passed last year....
