Big Firms' Losses are Small Firms' Gain

As the number of entry-level jobs for lawyers a big firms continues to slide, small and midsize firms are stepping in to take up the slack, partly due to landing new work from cost-cutting corporate clients.

As the number of entry-level jobs for new lawyers at big firms continues to slide, small and midsize firms appear to be taking up the slack, according to findings of a recent survey by the National Association for Law Placement an organization that tracks trends in the legal industry.
