State Bar Taps Second-In-Command to Temporarily Head Discipline Office
The State Bar has appointed its second-in-command, Robert A. Hawley, to temporarily oversee the discipline office in the wake of James E. Towery's abrupt resignation as chief trial counsel.

The State Bar has appointed its second-in-command, Robert A. Hawley, to temporarily oversee the discipline office in the wake of James E. Towery's abrupt resignation as chief trial counsel.
Executive Director Joseph Dunn shared the news with State Bar staff in an internal memo on June 28. Towery departed Friday, less than a year after taking the job of top discipline prosecutor.
