A Sacramento-area lawyer who was hit with a $2 million default judgment got a second chance to defend himself Wednesday.

The 3rd District Court of Appeal rescinded the judgment against Gregory F. Gilbert on a technicality, but warned the attorney that he still faces an uphill battle at the trial court. Van Sickle v. Gilbert, 2011 DJDAR 9763.
