Gensler Architects submitted a stadium design Monday as part of the city of San Diego's formal application for a Major League Soccer franchise.
The new 30,000-seat stadium, which would house contests for both an MLS franchise and San Diego State University, would be constructed on the 166-acre site where Qualcomm Stadium is located.
