Judge Rejects Class for Cashier Seats

The ruling in favor 99¢ Only Stores is a first among a crop of lawsuits filed against virtually every major retailer across the state.

LOS ANGELES - A state court judge has snuffed out an uncertified class-action lawsuit that alleged 99¢ Only Stores illegally failed to provide chairs for cashiers, ruling that California law doesn't require it and the plaintiff couldn't sue under the particular statute.
