Former litigator escapes jail time for DUI-related probation violation

A judge on Friday terminated Melvyn I. Weiss' federal supervised probation for racketeering charges, saying Weiss had "learned something" from his December drunk driving arrest.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter on Friday terminated the attorney's federal supervised probation for racketeering charges and added that Weiss had "learned something" from his December drunk driving arrest.
