Sargon's 2003 trial verdict is upheld

The dental implant developer has been battling USC for more than a decade in a case that went to the Supreme Court and back.

A state appellate court Thursday denied a request for a new trial by Sargon Enterprises Inc. in its longstanding dispute with USC over a dental implant Sargon invented. The company claimed it was deprived of $1 billion in lost profits after USC failed to finish a clinical study of the implant.
