Report: State Bar's handling of discipline sped in 2012

The State Bar has slashed the time it spends to move discipline cases through the system almost in half since 2010, according to the bar's annual report to state officials.

The State Bar has slashed the time it spends to move discipline cases through the system almost in half since 2010, according to the bar's annual report to the Supreme Court, governor and Legislature.

In 2010, State Bar lawyers and investigators took a median 414 days to process a case from initial complaint to the filing of formal charges or a stipulated plea agreement.
