When Client Fishing, Know What to Jettison

I recently read an article about a Silicon Valley law firm that claims to receive more than 10,000 inquiries a year from potential clients seeking legal representation. Of those 10,000, the firm agrees to represent just 100 or so. The same firm routinely asks some of its exiting clients to go elsewhere with their legal work so that the firm can do the type of projects it prefers.
