State Supreme Court accepts two environmental cases for review

In one case, the justices will be asking how far the state can go to limit seawall construction on the California coast. In the second, the court will wrestle over whether CEQA applies to government-backed railroad projects.

The California Supreme Court has accepted two environmental cases for review this week, adding to its already hefty docket of pending matters dealing with the how the state will balance development with protection of natural resources.
