Loyola Law School dean will step down

Dean Victor J. Gold says, after more than seven years at Loyola's helm, it's time for new energy leading the school. He will return to teaching after a year's sabbatical.

Loyola Law School Dean Victor J. Gold will step down at the end of June after more than seven years leading the large Los Angeles school.


"It's time for a younger person to come in with new energy and take us to the next level," said Gold, who will turn 65 in October.


He has been at the school's helm "a relatively long time these days for a dean," he noted....
