You hold your breath for three months. The letter comes: The committee is pleased to inform you... You exhale. Never again.

But your son, the apple of your eye, graduates from law school and reclaims his old bedroom for the summer, and you watch him not study. He stares at the television, works on his jump shot, and takes naps on the couch. This makes you exceedingly nervous.
