LOS ANGELES - In an effort to improve efficiency, the Division of the State Architect is developing a program to transfer its document-submission process to a paperless electronic form. HMC Architects is working with the state architect on developing the pilot program, dubbed E-Doc 101. Currently, the department requires electronic document submission for projects worth less than $400,000 and encourages the same practice for those worth less than $1 million.
