Long-awaited park project underway in Ocean View Hills

Between Vista Del Mar Elementary School and Ocean View Hills School, the park will include joint-use fields for softball, baseball, soccer and other activities, said Ricardo Rodriguez, project manager for 3-D Enterprises.

Construction has begun on the Cesar Solis Community Park, a long-awaited park in the relatively young Ocean View Hills neighborhood.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held next week for the 21-acre project, which will feature a skatepark, multi-use ball fields and several picnic areas.

Plans for a large community park in Ocean View Hills date back to the neighborhood's inception in the late 1990s.
