A state appellate court considered Wednesday whether to revive a lawsuit stemming from a knife-wielding prison parolee's random attack on a San Francisco teenager and a lawyer who tried to intervene.
The state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is generally immune from liability over violent acts committed by released prisoners.
