Former O.C. Congressional Candidate Sentenced

A former congressional candidate was sentenced to a year in federal prison for lying to investigators about letters allegedly meant to keep Latinos from the polls.

SANTA ANA - A former Republican candidate for Congress will spend a year and a day in prison in connection with letters sent to Latinos allegedly intended to dissuade them from voting, a federal judge declared Monday.
