Pair Fined for Coastal Violations

A judge ordered a Los Angeles County woman and her manager to pay the California Coastal Commission $3.9 million in fines for keeping more than two dozen unpermitted structures and vehicles on environmentally-sensitive land.

A Los Angeles County woman and her manager were ordered to pay the California Coastal Commission $3.9 million in fines and penalties for keeping an array of unpermitted structures and vehicles on 40 acres of sensitive plant and animal habitat in the Santa Monica mountains.
