Court Interpreters Continue Strike in Northern California

SAN FRANCISCO - Nearly 100 unionized interpreters who work in courthouses from Monterey to the Oregon border entered the third day of a strike Tuesday. Katy Van Sant, vice president of the California Federation of Interpreters and an Alameda County interpreter, said the union decided to hold the work stoppage after two negotiating sessions with court representatives last week ended without progress.
