Hiestand The dismantling of the Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act is being pursued by the personal injury bar under the guise of health-care reform and enhanced consumer choice. Assembly Bill 1751, introduced by Assemblywoman Sheila Kuehl, is the most recent deceit to take away the right of a health-plan member to agree to resolve disputes by arbitration. Rather than enhance choice, this bill restricts it.
