A mall landlord in that city recently sent a memorandum to all mall tenants, forbidding them from displaying their website addresses. A furor ensued, with some merchants protesting, others threatening to call their lawyers and still others simply ignoring the request. A day or so later, the sheepish mall owner withdrew his memo.
