LA judges and lawyers harmonize for holiday concert
On Dec. 14 the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and its chorus, Legal Voices, performed a holiday gala concert for a capacity audience at Wilshire United Methodist Church under the baton of founder-conductor Gary S. Greene, a lawyer. The program opened with a dedication to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut, followed by a performance of "O Holy Night." Actress June Lockhart narrated The Christmas Story with orchestra and chorus. Other performances included a Hanukkah Fantasy, the third movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, selections from "Babes in Toyland" and selections from "Fiddler on the Roof." Choral director Jim Raycroft led the chorus in Christmas carols and Hanukkah songs.
