Wal-Mart gets break in suitable seating suit with 9th Circuit ruling

A group of cashiers hit a roadblock in their case for seated workstations Wednesday when the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s petition for review of class certification.

A group of cashiers hit a roadblock in their case for seated workstations Wednesday when the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s petition for review of class certification. Northern District Judge Edward J. Davila certified a class of more than 10,000 Wal-Mart cashiers in August. The case tests California's "suitable seating" employment law.
