Apple scores minor win in patent battle with Google subsidiary

Apple Inc. scored a small win late Wednesday after a Wisconsin federal judge had a change of heart and modified her dismissal of its case against Google Inc. subsidiary Motorola Mobility.

Apple Inc. scored a small win late Wednesday after a Wisconsin federal judge had a change of heart and modified her dismissal of its case against Google Inc. subsidiary Motorola Mobility.


Initially, U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb threw out the entire case "with prejudice," which meant the Cupertino-based company could only pursue its claims against Motorola on appeal.
