Transporation plan does not adequately account for climate change, judge rules

A trial court has tentatively ruled that San Diego officials failed to properly look at the impacts of a long-term regional transportation plan on climate change.

A trial court has tentatively ruled that San Diego officials failed to properly look at the impacts of a long-term regional transportation plan on climate change.


The closely watched case is the first test of a 2008 law that requires planners around California to cut greenhouse gas emissions by reducing car use and increasing public transportation and designing walkable communities.
